Climbing
Rock climbing, ice climbing, alpine climbing, extreme alpinism climbing, indoor climbing, free climbing, sport climbing – the variety of styles, locations, techniques, aims and uses is immense and cannot be described in short.
Whether climbing is merely a sport, a lifestyle or even a philosophy is arguable, but one is for sure – if you want to climb it is difficult not to give the best of yourself! It might be true that climbing is the most demanding activities of all, because it requires not only perfect equipment, guts, good physical and psychical condition, ability to make fast decisions and a family with a lot of patience.
So, no matter where you climb - in the gym next door, in Pakistan or on Mt. McKinley - here is a piece of advice: always double check your gear, try to listen to the elderly climbers, regularly renew your equipment, often go to new climbing sites, sometimes read climbing guides and magazines and never go alone unless you are a solo climber.
And … whether it is your inner or your outer balance, climbing helps you find it!
