Riding at our ranch is unlike any other riding experience you can find!
Our trail rides offer the kind of freedom you're looking for when you saddle up...not the usual nose-to-to-tail formation you get at other ranches. We have more than 850 acres of private land and open space at our disposal. If that's not enough, we also have access to 500 miles of trails in the George Washington National Forest. Come out for a camping trip, do some fishing, or take some lessons and improve your riding skills.
At our ranch we everyone starts out in the arena where we will assess your riding skill and match you with the right horse. When we ride out, we won't corral you into a column...we want you to enjoy riding the way it was meant to be.
Civil War events
One of the things that make Secret Passage Ranch unique is our love of history and support for historical equaestrian activities, especially when it comes to Civil War reenacting. Reenactors can rent our horses for Civil War events...we will even trailer the mounts to your event (minimum 4 horses per event). Anyone wishing to rent our horses for a reenactment must first come out to the ranch to qualify and be matched with a horse the meets your riding experience.
